How Backlinks Exchange Works (With Tutorial)

Backlinks has always been one of the backbones of every website that's ranking on Google. It helps a website to have more authority, thus having more exposure on the search engines. You can get backlinks from any website to any of your blog. However, you mustn't do that. You can't go around having every website point to your blog just like that. The reason is because not every website has high domain authority. If you are having a certain domain to link back to your website then it must be a website with high domain authority.

You might also want to check the spam score of the intended website before you decide to link it up with yours. This is because somes websites although has high domain authority has violated some internet rules and because of this your backlinks to that type of website might proof useless.

So when it comes to backlinks there are many ways you can get them. In my previous article i made mention of how you can get backlinks using the comments method. Today I'll be teaching something different - how you can exchange backlinks.

How Backlinks Exchange Works

In most cases backlinks are exchanged between Bloggers. This is one of the most simplest of building up your backlinks. But before you qualify for such method you must have at least 5 Domain Authority rating. This is because in exchange for having a person's website point to yours you also have to offer the same. So, if you don't have any domain rating the person won't bother to strike a deal with you since you wouldn't have anything to offer in return asides money which may not be needed in this case. So before you make a backlink exchange deal do well to check your current domain authority (DA). You can check your domain authority rating via Ahref Backlink Checker.

 After you must have checked your domain authority and you feel qualified here are the necessary steps you can follow to exchange backlinks successfully;

1. First thing to do is connect with a Blogger that also has a high domain authority probably close to yours. You can connect with Bloggers anywhere in the internet especially social media but mostly on Facebook. On Facebook you can search for Bloggers group if you're not already in any. Popular Facebook groups for Bloggers are: 

WordPress/Bloggers Help Group( For Beginners In Nigeria) and Nigerian SEO And Bloggers. When you join these types of Facebook groups you will get to connect with thousands of Bloggers worldwide and learn from each other as well.

2. Then from there you get find out his niche, exact domain authority rating and then strike a deal. The deal might be that you'll first place his link on your website or vice versa. No matter who goes first there must be an agree so that the backlinks exchange deal would go smoothly. There might not be any need to involve an escrow since money is not involve. But if you still need an escrow for the deal then the admins are the right persons to contact. You can integrate the person's website url in one of your blog post or even pages. It doesn't really matter how and wherever you place the targeted link but it just needs to be on your website before it can be counted as backlink to the person's website. The person that's supposed to give you a backlink in return will do likewise. If you're integrating colleagues' URL to your main blog post then you must ensure that your no-follow tick is turned off otherwise any backlink created on that blog post would proof useless. It must be a do-follow before it can be counted as an active backlink.

Fortunately for blogspot users the art of backlinks is not limited to WordPress users only. You too as a blogspot user can increase your domain authority when an authoritative website points back to your website. And in turn you can increase someone else's DA when their URL points back to theirs, provided you already have a good DA. Infact blogspot also has a simple template for integrating links similar to WordPress. Take a look at this photo below.

As you can see this picture in the first picture that's where you click if you want to add someone's website link to your blog post in order to generate backlinks. After clicking on it a new window will pop out which will require you to Enter your anchor text in the "Text To Display" area. While you enter the link you will like to direct your visitors to if they click "Click Here". You can enter any text you want in the display text. The display text is also known as anchor text, it is what people click on that takes them to another website or webpages within the website.

3. Even after making your first successful deal don't stop at that but continue to reach out to more bloggers and exchange links with them. The more backlinks you generate the more your website will grow both in domain rating and how it ranks on search engines. Avoid accepting backlinks from website which DA are too low. If you want your website increase it's authority speedily then look for websites with much domain authority, at least 20 and above.

How High Domain Authority Can Fetch You Money

When you grow your domain authority to a certain point you can start accepting payment in cash in exchange of giving someone backlinks. For the fact you yourself have had enough DA it wouldn't be a time where you. continue exchanging backlinks for backlinks but it would be a time when you exchange your backlinks for some cash.

The process of course is going to be similar but the difference would be instead of get a backlink in return the person will pay you for placing his or her URL on your website. However, it is strongly advised that you make use of the admin as an escrow to avoid getting tricked and loosing your money.
