TikTok is a video streaming app that entertains and educate. As an average young person you must have somehow heard of if not use TikTok before. Generally TikTok is known for uploading of videos and getting paid to advertise products if you have thousands or millions of followers and of course thousands and millions of views. However, in this article I'm going to show you how to drive traffic to your blog using your TikTok account. 1. Download TikTok App

You can't use TikTok on a web browser so you need to download it's app via Google play store. You can simply go on playstore and search for TikTok. There are two types of the TikTok app, The main one and the lite version. As a publisher ( person that uploads videos ) you should go for the main version since it has more features.

2. Sign Up On TikTok

After downloading the app the next thing to do is sign up an account and you can do so either via your phone number/email, Google account, Facebook or Twitter. Whichever way you choose you are good to go. But for this tutorial let's use the phone/email option. 

When you click on the option you'll be presented with two others options which is phone number registration or email registration. Proceed with any option of your choice.

4. Setting Up Your Account

Now you have to set up your account well. Setting up your accounts includes:

• Display Name : I suggest you choose a unique name that also at the same time defines your niche.

• Display Photo : If your TikTok account is representing your company brand then you should forget about using your personal picture as Display profile picture, instead use your company logo or anything else that represents your company.

• Bio : You need to put up a little description about you or what your TikTok channel is all about ( later on I'll show you what to replace the description with for traffic ).

• 2-Step Verification : Additional you may set-up a verification protocol for your TikTok account security. You can find the 2-step verification option under security settings in the app.

Now that you have successfully set up your TikTok account we now move on to the main aspect of this article which is driving traffic to your blog using TikTok. Pay attention to the tutorial below to learn how.

How To Drive Traffic To Your Blog Using TikTok

1. Upload Trending Videos

One thing you should do first before you even consider driving traffic to your blog via TikTok is uploading videos because it's the videos that will attract viewers in the first place. But for this strategy to be more effective consider posting not just videos but trending videos. By trending videos i mean popular and trending videos on TikTok and you could easily find these kinds of videos the more you use the app. Some popular videos you might upload could be memes, music, sports or educational videos. If your goal is driving traffic from your TikTok account to your blog/website then you should focus on educational videos.

Examples of educational videos includes giving tutorials on mastering MS Excel, MS WORD, PowerPoint, etc. When you seek to educate people they'll be more likely to pay attention to your contents. Entertainment is also a great way to generate huge audience.

2. Make Use Of Hashtags

Just as hashtags can be used to generate huge views on YouTube you can also make use of hashtags on your TikTok videos in other to boost massive views. But you must ensure that you use only hashtags that are necessary. There's no limit to the amount of hashtags to use but it doesn't mean you must use too much of them. Your hashtags must relate to your uploaded videos. Take for example a TikTok channel that deals with recipes and cuisine tutorials, it would be more appropriate to use hashtags like #food, #recipes, #cuisine, etc.

Again you can find currently trending sounds or music by browsing through many random TikTok videos. 4. Redirect Your Viewers

Now we've come to the last step of the strategy and the part where i show you can drive in massive traffic to your blog via TikTok. Now after you must have made a trending video following my guides i explained earlier you are to direct your viewers to a related article you've already written. Take for example if your video was about MS Excel tutorial and you want to teach more via your website. Kindly enter the URL of that article in your TikTok bio description and let your viewers know via your video description that they should follow up via your bio. An example is shown in the photo below.

By sending probably thousands if not millions of people to your website via your videos you will be getting tons of traffic daily, weekly and even monthly. Yes, this strategy works so well than you can ever imagine!
